Margaret Ikeda and Evan Jones were invited to present an overview of the Architectural Ecologies Lab research to Master of Architecture students at Gdansk University of Technology during the first week in July by Professor Lucyna Nyka, the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, and head of the Department of Urban Architecture and Waterscapes. In three sessions, Margaret and Evan presented work ranging from the Float Lab to speculative work from the Buoyant Ecologies Maldives studio work and Living Pod. Gdansk, as a major Port for Poland, with three main tributaries entering its bay, has interesting overlaps with the San Francisco Bay, offering possibilities for future collaborations between the two colleges.
